The premise
A world under pressure
The near future is not ending all at once. It is tightening. Governments, corporations, and damaged systems fight over cities, networks, infrastructure, populations, and the stories people are allowed to believe. Most of the world still looks ordinary from a distance. Up close, disappearances, impossible survivals, broken memories, violent coincidences, and places that no longer obey their own history are becoming harder to dismiss.
Vogh and Yva are drawn into Evollence, a megacorporation that presents itself through energy, artificial intelligence, healthcare, disaster response, and continuity. Beneath that public face, Evollence captures the people touched by something deeper and turns survival, identity, and trauma into assets it can catalogue, reproduce, and own.
Vogh + Yva
Partners before symbols
Threadwalker begins with people, not a power chart. Vogh survives by refusing ownership. Yva survives by preserving what remains whole through change. Their instincts pull in opposite directions without making them opposites: one removes the claim, the other holds the person. Together, they become increasingly difficult for Evollence—and eventually the wider world—to classify, contain, or separate.
Vogh
A disappearance operator whose deepest rule is simple: never be owned. He enters Evollence believing he can use its resources without becoming part of its inventory. Both sides misunderstand the wager.
Yva
Warmth, responsibility, and attachment survive in her even after the world begins taking away the things that anchored them. She does not preserve stillness. She preserves wholeness through motion, pressure, and choice.
The hidden structure
The LOOM
Beneath the visible conflict is the LOOM: not a god, not a moral judge, and not simply a machine. It is the hidden structure through which identity, belief, contradiction, devotion, fear, and consequence begin pressing back on reality. The people touched by it are not conventional superheroes. They are survivors whose inner truths have become operational—and whose use of that truth always carries a cost.
As anomalies spread and infrastructure conflict deepens, the world moves from hiding the impossible to denying it, living around it, fighting over it, and finally being reorganised by it. Vogh, Yva, and others caught in the same pressure must decide who gets preserved, who gets erased, who owns the future, and what remains when reality can no longer pretend nothing happened.
